SUTURE TECHNIQUE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

It is a continuous education certificate program for Healthcare professionals, nurses, MOAs and physician assistants who may be having limited experience in suturing or interested in advancing their skills in learning basic wound closure and proper suturing techniques. The course is specially designed for students with no or primary skills in knot tying and wound closure, and even those with good skills who want to be more efficient and want to advance their skills.
 

The program covers instrument basics such as suture types and selection, proper loading of the needle, wound assessment, local anesthesia, aftercare, and proper documentation. Participants, who opt for practical session, will have the opportunity to demonstrate basic suturing techniques. The program focuses upon tips on how to sew better, more efficiently and shorten your learning curve on wound closure. The shortcomings of wound closure are outlined, and several techniques are detailed that will keep you updated with latest in the field of wound closure and suturing.
