SUTURE TECHNIQUE - SKILL ENHANCEMENT FOR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
THE BASIC SUTURING FOR WOUND MANAGEMENT -is a continuous education
certificate program for Healthcare professionals, nurses, MOAs and physician assistants who may be having limited experience in suturing or interested in advancing their skills in learning basic wound closure and proper suturing techniques. The course is specially designed for students with no or primary skills in knot tying and wound closure, and even those with good skills who want to be more efficient and want to advance their skills.
The program covers instrument basics such as suture types and selection, proper loading of the needle, wound assessment, local anesthesia, aftercare, and proper documentation. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate basic suturing techniques. The program focuses upon tips on how to sew better, more efficiently and shorten your learning curve on wound closure. The shortcomings of wound closure are outlined, and several techniques are detailed that will keep you updated with latest in the field of wound closure and suturing.
All supplies for the program will be provided by the institution.

The basic wound management & suturing kit has all the materials required for the best practice as well as a unique Skin substitute that closely simulates real skin. It includes types of sutures and all essential armamentarium with valuable information on suture techniques, stitch materials and tips for wound closure.
The enrollment for the program is limited in order to optimize the learning experience.
